
Did you know that ONE bat can eat up to 1,000 mosquito-sized insects in a single night? They're also nighttime pollinators helping over 300 species of plants grow, contributing a $23 billion value to the US Agricultural Economy.
The Natural Resources class constructed a bat house to be utilized on USD 401 grounds - combining classroom work with real life applications.




The seventh grade made roller coaster learning about potential energy turning into kinetic energy. We also studied inertia and Newton's :Laws of Motion

The Kats traveled to Cottonwood Hills for a tournament Thursday. Garrett Brady finished 3rd in the varsity meet. Layden Hinderliter finished 1st in the JV for the second week in a row!! Go Kats

Yesterday they had their district livestock judging contest and placed 11th out of 30 teams.
Last Week they Judged 12 Classes and gave 4 sets of reasons! On Cattle, Sheep, Goats, and swine. Breeding and Markets for both species plus bulls.



Chase had their annual Chase Golf Meet. Garrett Brady took 6th and qualified for state! Freshman Laydn Hinderliter won the JV meet!! Great day for the Kats!!

The Chase HS Forensics team traveled to McPherson to compete in the 2023 McPherson McPheeters Invitational with entries in Duet Acting and Informative Speaking. The Dynamic Duo of Summer Bates and Wren Higgins broke into finals with impressive performances and gave their best performance ever in that final round earning a narrow edge over the leading team and taking a First Place finish! They both qualify for State Championships! This is Wren's second time qualifying for State this year, qualifying earlier in the season with her Dramatic Interpretation piece. Kaiya Higgins narrowly missed breaking into finals with her Informative speech about Emotional Support Animals. We look forward to her continued efforts this month leading up to Regionals. Big thanks to Evy Hoyt for volunteering to come along and judge! It's a GREAT day to be a Kat!!!



Today our K-3rd students got to hang out with some of the Rice County EMTs. This included a story, a tour of the ambulance, and LOTS of answered questions!











Today, some of our students competed in the NPL Powerlifting Tournament. Lifters were Cassie, Aurelia, Walon, Jersey (3rd in squat), & Kaiden (1st in Power-clean). Izzy and Abbey were fabulous spotters and supporters!!
They represented Chase well!

League art is more competitive than other art shows at the highschool level, as works of art must be original.
