Art From Poland

Mr. Frost’s art class participated in an Art Exchange with Poland. Chase High School students created original postcard-sized works of art to send to students in Poland. In return, Polish students sent back some really neat postcards and artwork, along with notes mentioning things they are doing and asking about our students. Mr. Frost also shared a tidbit about Warsaw, pointing out bullet holes still visible on the side of a building that students there pass by daily.

Staff Spotlight - Ms. Patry

Ms. Patry has been at Chase Schools for four years. During that time, she has worked in several positions, with her main role being a secretary for the Raymond Bulldogs. She also worked as a para at Chase High School from 2022 to 2023.

The most challenging part of being a secretary for Ms. Patry is juggling everything that needs to be done. Some days she is constantly on the go, while other days are slower and allow her time to catch up on tasks. Ms. Patry always tries to make sure parents and students are taken care of, matching the students’ needs. to what she gives. Since she is also a nurse, students need to come to her before calling home.

The reporting system is very time-sensitive and requires careful attention. Ms. Patry stays focused when adding a new student, as one small mistake could mean having to redo the entire process. When a substitute is needed, she takes notes and makes sure all information is ready.

Basketball Update

The Chase basketball team faced Ellinwood at home on January 9, 2026. The evening began with the girls’ game, which presented some challenges due to a few players being unavailable, including the starting point guard. Despite these obstacles, the team worked hard and competed throughout the game. The Chase boys also faced some challenges, though not to the same extent, and continued to play with determination and effort.

Both the girls’ and boys’ teams ultimately came up short, but they put up a strong fight and showed resilience on the court. The girls’ game wrapped up around 7:00, and both teams recorded solid stats. Riley Bowen led Chase with an impressive 22 points, and the boys contributed well with scoring and rebounds, highlighting their continued growth and teamwork.

We Got Spirit, Yes We Do

Everyone participated in the chants during the pep rally. Pre-K started things off with a small chant for their grade, followed by first grade, who did a bigger chant and improved on the Pre-K effort. Among the grade school groups, the third graders were the winners. Second and fourth grade were close, but the third graders yelled as loud as possible and stood out the most.

Next, it was time for grades 8–12 to do their chants. The eighth graders messed up twice, but they made a strong comeback after the mistakes. The freshmen were up next and crushed their chant, though they were eventually outdone by the sophomores, who did everything they could to scream until their vocal cords were worn out. When it was the juniors’ turn, they stayed seated in the bleachers and did not participate much in the pep rally.

The seniors finished the chants by yelling at the top of their lungs and giving it everything they had. To break a tie, Humberto, Leland, Riley, and Jacob yelled against Harmony, Trey, Dominic, and Malik. In the end, the seniors won the Spirit Paw.
